Terry Theise is a wine writer and importer of artisanal, small-production wine from Germany, Austria, and Champagne. He won the 2008 James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Wine and Spirits Professional, and was named Wine & Spirits's Man of the Year in 2001 and Food & Wine's Importer of the Year in 2006. Terry is the author of Reading Between the Wines (2011) and What Makes a Wine Worth Drinking: In Praise of the Sublime (2018), and he released a feature-length documentary called Leading Between the Vines in 2012.
