Adding ground flax seeds to any baked good?

What's the potential harm in adding ground flax to any baked good (cookies, quick breads, etc). How much do you think it will affect taste or texture? After buying a bag of ground flax, I realized that it's quite a LOT and I'd like to be using it instead of storing it.
