Places to eat near The New Yorker Hotel

Me and a group of friends are going to be visiting NYC from the 1-9 Sept 2012.

Please can anyone suggest some decent places to eat near The New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan. Pizza, Chinese, Mexican, and seafood are our favourites :)
