Weekend Cook and Tell: Romantic Respites Revisited

Welcome back to our Weekend Cook and Tell where each Wednesday we peruse the food sections of various national newspapers in search of inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.

The Chicago-Sun Times is teaching us how to hand-make chocolates, the Los Angeles Times is rounding up romantic recipes, and Melissa Clark is baking Dark Chocolate-Cherry Ganache Bars over at The New York Times. All signs clearly point to Valentine's Day.

With love in the air, we're devoting this week's challenge to Tuesday night's meal i.e. the romantic respite that all of you are surely planning for V-Day. We want to hear your tales of oysters and Champagne, chocolate and roses, burgers and fries or any other edibles that get you in the mood. We're looking for candle lit tables set for a côte de bœuf for two and order ahead soufflés that may or may not come with an engagement ring. But there's no need to get fancy, heartfelt, made with love meals are what we're after.
