Are you a keeper or a giver?

Now that I've started cooking dinner for both my boyfriend and I almost every night, I have noticed that I usually give him the best looking bit of the food while serving. I was wondering how you dish out your meals: do you keep the best bits for yourself (to the cook goes the spoils) or do you give them to your dining partner? I never tell him I do it, but it feels wrong to give him the piece that is slightly overcooked/undercooked/etc.
