Sazon?

In the span of less than 12 hours, I've run across this spice mixture name. This afternoon a co-worker was telling me she uses it in her eggplant parmesana batter for frying the eggplant. Then tonight, there was the garlic chicken recipe that was posted using this spice. A google search only confused me more as there seems to be country specific sazons. I don't see anything much written here at SE about it. Any enlightenment would be helpful. Thanks!
