I do not recall my grandmother ever having a paying job but, she worked from dawn to dusk on the very modest farm she and my granddad had in Upper Michigan.I lived with them and my older brother for the first five years of my life. She baked bread every other day and knew how to prepare both wild-game and farm animals. She even made her own butter. My favorite was her cinnamon rolls she made from scratch. In fact all her foods were made from scratch. So, my answer to my own question, my grandmother was the better cook. Who was it in your family? What is the food they made that you remember best?
