Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream...?

I'm making s'mores ice cream (recipe here), but instead of simply melting the marshmallows down with the milk/cream...I thought I could toast the marshmallows first, inspired by Spike Mendelsohn's Toasted Marshmallow Shake.

Any thoughts on the concept of melting toasted marshmallows down with milk for an ice cream base? Do you think this will work?
