How do you get your pizza off of the peel and onto the stone??

I seem to have a problem - I always have trouble getting the pizza to slide off of the peel and onto the stones, leading to misshapen pies and toppings flying off the pie and all sorts of other messes. Yesterday I tried again and used a ton of flour on the peel. I managed to get the pies into the oven without destroying them, but there was so much flour on the bottom of the pie that it threw off the taste. Help!
