ridiculous story: spotted an unopened carton of buttermilk in the fridge about to expire so decided to whip up some overnight waffles. put all dry ingredients together, then realized recipe doesn't call for buttermilk. then decided to make buttermilk pot bread out of kneadlessly simple cookbook. again, all ingred. for first rise together, then realized the recipe calls for buttermilk powder, not buttermilk! uggh. (yes, i realize i need to learn to read ahead!) :)
