Sushi for Dummies (or at least Beginners)...

Hi, I have a bit of a dilemma. I have never been exposed to a lot of sushi but at the new job I have, my boss is CRAZY about the stuff and often invites the team out for sushi with him.

The past few times I've had other engagements but I won't be able to hide out forever.

That being said, I need to some tips on how to start appreciating sushi especially since I've never been really exposed to it. I grew up in Georgia and rural upstate New York so sushi was not someting that was easily available or popular.

Any suggestions/recommendations would be great. I do love seafood (salmon, catfish, shrimp, fried clams, etc) but I would be completely lost as to what to order at a sushi bar. I'm not really big on heat in my spices so I know to stay away from Wasabi.
