Welcome to the Weekend Cook and Tell. Every Wednesday we thumb through the food sections of various national newspapers to create a weekend cooking project. We hope you will cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.
This week there seemed to be a common theme in many of the food sections, healthy eating, and I'm pretty sure that has something to do with the fact the the dreaded flu season is approaching. As a preventative measure, the Chicago Tribune put together a great slide show of superfoods. These so-called superfoods are rich in all sorts of healthy vitamins, proteins, and antioxidants that might just help keep you healthy all winter long.
For this week's challenge we want to know what kinds of foods you eat for their health benefits. What sorts of preventative measures are you taking in the kitchen? Are you upping your green tea intake? Eating more greens? Adding more fish to the rotation? We want to hear all about your favorite healthy recipes and tips.
Show us your photos on Photograzing (make sure to include "Cook and Tell" in your submission title) and tell us about your recipes here! If you'd like to blog the experience, please leave a link in the comments below. We'll post a round-up of your photos and recipes next Wednesday with all of your cooking adventures.
