Are there any other admirers of traditional Mexican cuisine on SE? I've traveled to Merida, Cancun and Progreso in the Yucatan and found myself loving the local dishes there such as pollo pibil, poc chuc, tikin xic, sieved black beans with epazote and anything with habanero! Homemade salsa fresca and guacamole are always good too! I am not asking for any recipes, but I am curious to read your favorite dishes, the your stories and why you have an appreciation for Mexican fare.
