Welcome to the Weekend Cook and Tell. Every Wednesday we sift through the food sections of various national newspapers to come up with an article or recipe to inspire a weekend cooking project. We want all of you to cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos.
If you are anything like me, you have been waiting months to see the premiere of Nora Ephron's Julie & Julia. Julie Powell took it upon herself to cook her way through all of the recipes in Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
For this week's challenge we are asking you to make one recipe from Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking. It can be as simple as an omelet or as complicated as homard à l'americaine. Cassoulet, boeuf bourguignon, or bouillabaisse, if it's Julia's, it goes!
This weekend is all about Julia & Julie, of course. We want to hear all about the French dishes that you are making at home. Show us your photos on Photograzing (make sure to include "Cook and Tell" in your submission title) and tell us about your recipes in Talk with comments on this thread! If you'd like to blog along from home, leave a link to your Cook and Tell blog post in the comments. We'll post a round-up of your photos and recipes next Wednesday. Bon appetit!
