I made biscuits last night to go along with a stew. They were so flaky and delicious, I had to share the recipe with everyone:
1.5 C all purpose flour 2 t sugar .25 t salt 2 t baking powder .25 cream of tartar 5 T butter 1/2 C milk 1 T grated Parmesan cheese
Mix dry ingredients, cut butter into mixture, stir in milk and cheese. Lightly knead until just formed into a ball. Roll out and cut into 4 biscuits and arrange them on a cookie sheet. Chill in refrigerator for 20 minutes. Bake for 10 minutes at 450.
They didn't have super height, but I forgive them.
