Just got my first dutch oven - in need of some tips and tricks!

I just got a 5 qt Le Creuset dutch oven (oval, in grey) - for those in the market for one, the Williams-Sonoma Outlet in Riverhead, NY is having a fabulous sale on it (around $110 after discounts), and I'd imagine that other outlet stores elsewhere would have it on discount, too.

So, teach me, oh wise serious eaters!! I don't need specific recipes (though I wouldn't turn my nose up at them), but anything about methods, tips, tricks, things that I should make sure to do in the dutch oven, things that I don't need to shlep out the dutch oven for because it doesn't make a big difference, etc etc etc - basically, anything you have to say.
