From the Zagat website I learned this morning of World Water Week running from March 22-28, an event that began as a trickle in New York City by The Tap Project/UNICEF. Their goal is to make clean and accessible water available to children and families around the globe. They have a charity walk, and they are asking participating restaurants to request a $1. donation from patrons for that free glass of tap water which in turn will be given to the cause. There are lists of restaurants taking part by logging on to The Tap Project/UNICEF, or Zagat.com... What do you think about this? Do we take our daily access to simple tap water for granted?
