Michael Neff's Bravo Cocktail Recipe

This boozy little cocktail isn't for those who stay safe with a vodka soda. It's the latest in a series of experiments I've conducted using different styles of whiskey in the same drink. I like the interplay between the mild peat flavor of the Sheep Dip with the delicate spice notes of the Templeton Rye.
- Yield:1
Ingredients
- Ice
- 1 ounce Sheep Dip Blended Scotch
- 1 1/2 ounces Templeton Rye
- 1/4 ounce simple syrup
- 3 drops absinthe (or put absinthe in atomizer spray bottle)
- 1 sugar cube
Directions
-
1.
Fill mixing glass with ice. Add scotch, rye, and simple syrup. Stir until very well chilled.
-
2.
Strain into cocktail glass, and spray or drizzle absinthe over the top. Garnish with sugar cube.
