Lay out cupcake liners in trays. Pour the cereal and the peanuts into a large bowl and sift together.
Bring the honey or syrup and the light brown sugar to a slow boil. Stir frequently over medium-to-low heat. When it boils IMMEDIATELY remove the pot from flame and stir in peanut butter until the mixture is thoroughly blended.
Pour sugar and peanut butter mixture over the bowl of cereal and nuts. Stir. Add candies.
Using a large spoon, scoop golf ball-sized dollops of the mixture into cupcake liners. Let cool for at least one hour. Soak pan immediately!
