Leela is the author of three cookbooks: Simple Thai Food: Classic Recipes from the Thai Home Kitchen (2014), Bangkok: Recipes and Stories from the Heart of Thailand (2017), and Flavors of the Southeast Asian Grill: Classic Recipes for Meats and Seafood Cooked Over Charcoal (2020). She was named one of the greatest home cooks of all time in 2017 by Epicurious and her book, Bangkok, won the Art of Eating Prize in 2018.
