Fran is an associate editor on the commerce team, where she helps with managing product testing operations, as well as with researching, creating, and editing copy for The Spruce Eats. She has been contributing to the brand since March 2020. Previously, she worked at an IT media company for five years as a copy editor and associate site editor.

Experience
Fran was born in the Philippines and lived in three countries and six states before finally settling in New York City. As a result of her travels, she's become an avid foodie (currently in the Vietnamese cuisine phase). Before The Spruce Eats, Fran worked at TechTarget, an IT media company, where she worked as a copy editor and associate editor for five years, covering such topics as IT leadership, IT security, compliance, and more. Outside of work, you can find her acting in various virtual theater performances or looking for the next best coffee shop and vegan restaurant in NYC.
