Emma Kobolakis's writing career began at the Stony Brook Press at Stony Brook University where she was a staff writer and then copy editor. She also began a baking business her junior year. Soon food and writing merged as she began contributing as a freelancer to several publications.
Kobolakis has spent time in professional kitchens, and wrote the Baking the Book column for Serious Eats for more than two years. She has written about restaurants and recipes for outlets like TBR Newsmedia and Morsel New York.
