Chris Cohen lives in San Francisco. He is an Advanced Cicerone, a National BJCP beer judge, and the co-founder of the San Francisco Homebrewers Guild. Chris went to college at Florida State University and earned a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. Eventually, he made the switch from attorney to beer entrepreneur and is now a partner at Old Devil Moon, a top beer and cocktail bar in San Francisco. Chris also wrote and published the Beer Scholar study guides for the cicerone exams.
What's your desert island food?
Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen, the classic smokey amber lager from Bamberg, paired with a dark chocolate with hazelnuts. The nutty chocolate amps up the bacon-y intensity of the smoky beer in a lovely, but not overwhelming, way.
What's your favorite condiment?
It's a trend of the pandemic moment, but I've been loving chili crisp on everything!
