Of all the desserts that I make, Chocolate 'Crack,' a chocolate covered cracker bark, is easily the most popular. And I can see why: It's sweet. It's salty. It's crunchy. It's chocolaty. But best of all, it's stupidly simple. I've heard from countless friends that they make the same dessert for Passover by subbing matzoh for saltines. But why stop at regular 'crack' when, with a few little tweaks, you can jazz it up for the holiday?
For each of these recipes, simply add approximately one to one and a half cups of the coarsely chopped topping of your choice to the basic Matzoh Crack recipe as soon as it comes out of the oven, then refrigerate as normal. Mix, match and have fun!
Note that while Matzoh Crack offers a great dessert base to get creative with flavors, during Passover, there may be additional restrictions on what is permissible among items that would normally be considered kosher, so be sure to check labels.
