Robyn stopped in for a visit upon her return from a year in Taiwan.
We can't tell you HOW these will be incorporated into the Food Lab's upcoming video series, but rest assured you'll enjoy it.
Ice cream fail
Note the point of contact...because it's definitely not her mouth. Luckily there's more than enough of Max's awesome coffee ice creams to go around.
Pay attention, Paul...
Two men, one pair of shorts, and a matching beach ball.
Icelandic hot dog
A vegan friendly spot
Vicky's travel buddy was vegan, which proved tricky in a country where lamb, yogurt, and fish prevail. Gló is a great spot that specializes in healthy vegan and vegetarian options, but includes a daily meaty dish (usually chicken) as well.
The lobster soup at Café Nielsen in the Eastfjords city of Egilsstadir was super rich and, though you can't tell from the photo, had huge chunks of lobster swimming in a buttery broth.
Kleinur, the Icelandic donut
Kleinur are kind of like Iceland's version of a cruller. Check out the cool squidy shape!
Breakfast of a viking champion
At the Hotel Langaholt on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, the homemade bread was the thing to try. Throw some cheese, gravlax, and veggies on top of this sweet and rustic rye bread and you've got yourself a great breakfast.
C is for Cookie
Another great little coffee shop in Reykjavik, C is for Cookie has some vegan-friendly treats as well as a few simple sandwiches and baked goods.
Brooklyn in Reykjavik
Take a look at the menu for Brooklyn Bar and Bistro. Are you more of a Jay Z, Al Pacino, or Lindsay Lohan burger person?
Check out that 'do!
