Let sleeping dogs lie.
This week Kenji's been working on some slow-cooked braises and roasts for the upcoming fall and winter recipe lineup. Wanna know what happens when slow-cooked smells start wafting through the house? DOGS GET SLEEPY. That's what.
A sensitive nose...
"Is that a cassoulet, replete with tender beans in a garlicky, pork-packed broth and a natural, no-breadcrumb crust I'm smelling?" Yuba says, popping her head up for a moment...
"Oh right. Human food gives me gas," she says and she nods back down. (P.S. stay tuned for cassoulet!)
"I'm not even gonna bother with this," says Jamón (even though secretly, Jamón can handle human food just fine. Don't tell Yuba or she'll get jealous).
Papa Gritzer in the house
Leandra, in shock: Max, you're wearing a scarf!
Max: I embrace the cold!
If you eat something and don't photograph it, does it count?
Editorial intern Lisa brought her camera along on a lunch excursion to Hamilton Luncheonette. Say cheese omelet!
We'll eat dessert any time of day in the office. Max had us try out a few different crisp toppings, and intern Marj was so excited. Until her portion fell on the floor.
