I've always been a bit intimidated by tamales. It seems like a lot of work, and since others do it very well, it begs the question...why make them at home? Well, most tamales that you buy at your local mexican restaurant use lard (delicious), but my tamale-loving wife also happens to be a vegetarian. Turns out they're easy and delicious, even made with just butter, beans, and vegetable stock. This video was my second attempt and it will not be my last.
