Snapshots from 'LA Loves Alex's Lemonade'
Los Angeles has not shortage of food festivals. Now on its fourth year, LA Loves Alex's Lemonade remains one the most beloved. Benefiting Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, hosts Chef Suzanne Goin, business partner Caroline Styne (Lucques, A.O.C., Tavern), and Chef David Lentz (The Hungry Cat) keep the all-star chef and mixologists roster solid.
Locals favorites like Ludo Lefebvre and Susan Feniger cooked beside far-flung friends like Cleveland's Rocco Whalen and New Orleans' Donald Link. But the pursuit of improving cancer treatment for children remained the primary focus. Everyone gathered when Master of Ceremonies, Jimmy Kimmel, called up Liz and Jay Scott, who told the story of their courageous daughter, Alex, and her heartfelt war cry against childhood cancer. Although her battle was lost, the war rages on...one glass of lemonade at a time
Jim O'Heir and Chris Bianco do a spot for Alex's Lemonade without missing a beat on tending to the wood fire oven.
