Jason Kupper: The Black Keys
"When I was a kid, my mother used to let me listen to Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin whenever we made the trek south to the Jersey Shore. In college I experimented with the blues and was fascinated by the likes of B.B. King and John Lee Hooker. As I got older, I longed for the bluesy rock and roll music that I grew up on and in the eleventh hour just when I was about to give up hope; along came The Black Keys. I usually listen to them when I jam out prep or right before a busy Saturday night. Lucky for me; they are on the playlist here at The Thomas so I often get a chance to hear 'Tighten Up' or 'Howlin' For You' while I'm throwing a log on our wood burning grill or searing a piece of halibut." —Jason Kupper (The Thomas in Napa)
