It's almost time for the 2nd annual Los Angeles Vendy Awards, the Oscars of street food, coming up on June 24. Yesterday they announced the seven finalists, who will compete against each other for the coveted Vendy Cup at Pan Pacific Park. We're going to tell you more about the finalists, and also give away a pair of tickets here!

Contest will end and comments will close at noon ET, Sunday, June 17, 2012. One entry per community member. The standard Serious Eats contest rules apply.
To buy tickets: In case you don't win, you can still buy tickets ($40 each) to one of the best food events of the year (seriously) here. It's a whole afternoon, from 1 to 5 p.m., of eating, eating, and more eating. Plus proceeds go to LA City Farm, a non-profit that provides Southern California communities with more accessibility to locally farmed organic produce.
