There are two ways you can go about stocking your pantry: the storebought route or the homemade. Alana Chernila, the voice behind Eating From the Ground Up falls firmly in the latter category. Her newly released cookbook, The Homemade Pantry boasts 101 recipes that will replace storebought staples with DIY recipes for everything from ketchup and mustard to ricotta and mozzarella.
