The American version of her new cookbook is hot off the presses and full of exciting DIY projects ranging from cheese-making to preserving, bread baking, infusing your own liqueurs, and even baking up biscuits for your favorite four legged friends.
Each chapter of Home Made opens with with a step-by-step photo how-to that walks you through the steps of each DIY project, whether it's making a terrine or tackling ice cream making without an ice cream maker. The recipes in Home Made are lovingly hand lettered and illustrated by van Boven with pen and ink drawings and intricate paper cuttings including some pretty adorable talking lemons and anthropomorphized Swiss chard.
This week we're going to be doin' it ourselves in the kitchen with recipes from Home Made. We'll be wondering into the world of preserving with Duck Ham, weighting down a summery Vegetable Terrine, and straining yogurt for Seasoned Labne Balls in Olive Oil.
