While I've been insanely busy with non-eating matters, the other SE'rs at SEHQ have been hard at work eating and posting up a storm. The results of this flurry of eat-ivity have been seen all week in the amazing posts that have gone up all over the site: the survival guide to In-N-Out's secret menu, the taco crawl in San Francisco's Mission district, the quest for the best meatballs in NYC, and so much more.
Another fortunate by-product of all this eat-ivity is that all the other SE'rs are doing the eating, not me. They took the caloric journey this week. I can eat vicariously through them. I like being the guy who eats vicariously, actually. So my hope is to at least maintain my two-pound weight loss from last week, the first week of the rest of my caloric journey (formerly known as my Serious Diet).
It's always hard the week after I lose two pounds, but I've been pretty good all week. Also, I was at the office until 12:30 last night, and I was simply too focused and hyped up to eat. In fact, I don't even want to tell all of you (but here goes..) that all I had for dinner was some fine artisanal chocolate with crunchy nibs. I know it's not a healthy dinner, but it was one night, so please go easy on me.
Here goes. 223. Same as last week. I'll take it. Maintaining a two pound loss is a fine thing. I may let the other serious eaters occasionally do the serious eating in the future. It seems like it could be a righteous path on my caloric journey.
