The folks at Anybots must have been testing QB, their latest remote-control robot, on an empty stomach yesterday. That's when a coffeeshop patron in Mountain View, California (prime-time Silicon Valley, natch) shot this video. Scrub forward to about 1:10 for the action. QB orders a scone and tips more than 100 percent.
The robot is a "personal avatar" — basically a roving telepresence unit that you can control from your keyboard. We're guessing the programmers needed a little snack. Sometimes I wish we had one of these at SE HQ.
