This hole-in-the-wall taqueria in Orange, California, may be named after the fatty and flavorful carnitas, but almost everything else on the menu is just as regal. Los Reyes' pastor—rich, heavily flavored and as crisp and chewy as it is tender—is especially nice in a torta.
Dressed with refried beans, chopped lettuce, cilantro, pico de gallo, and queso blanco and served on a slightly flaky, griddle-toasted Mexican roll for $3.50, this one's a classic. Best enjoyed with a cold horchata and followed by the house's excellent chorizo (what's better than tacos for dessert?).
