Seeking A Few Great Contributors

We're considering applications for a few contributor positions at Serious Eats. These are ongoing assignments that pay per post. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
What We're Looking For
- First and foremost: a passion for the subject and some serious expertise in the area of the column.
- Strong writing skills and ability to check your own work for clarity and typos.
- A finger on the pulse of the food and beverage scene in your area and the ability to generate your own column ideas
- The bandwidth and commitment to file a weekly (or monthly, if specified) dispatch on time.
- Blog-savviness; some amount of HTML is helpful.
- Great photography skills, you must have access to a camera that functions well even in low light, DSLR strongly preferred.
- Photo editing skills (resizing, file optimization, cropping, color-correcting, etc.)
Available Positions
Bar Reviewers We're seeking excellent writers and photographers to write 800-word reviews of cocktail bars (and the cocktail programs at restaurants) in the following cities. San Francisco Los Angeles Boston Portland, OR Seattle Chicago New York Washington DC Colorado (beer and cocktails)
Beer Pairings Expert Recommend craft beer pairings for Serious Eats recipes (similar to our wine series.) BJCP or Cicerone preferred.
Beverages-related Book Reviewer Focusing on nonfiction, not recipe books.
Recipe Developers
Culinary school or professional kitchen experience preferred.
