What Foods Do You Miss Most as an Expat?

20101014-macncheese-post.jpg"Boxes of Kraft macaroni and cheese have the oddest effect on expats," tweeted one of my friends this afternoon. And even though I don't like Kraft macaroni and cheese, I could relate. The first time I tried the iconic American foodstuff was in middle school when I was living in Taipei, out of some desperate longing to eat something American. It was an exciting experience, until I ate it. (Of course, if I could go back in time I would've told my pre-teen self to eat more dumplings and bowls of beef noodle soup while I still had the chance.)

To any current (or former) expats, American or not, what foods do you miss most while living abroad?
