Good news, SE'rs! Serious Eats Recipes is all new from the ground up, thanks to all of your great suggestions. It's now easier to browse, search, and share recipes, whether you're a regular or just visiting Serious Eats for the first time. Here are some of the highlights.
Find Recipes More Easily
We've made it easier to find the recipes you're looking for. You can:
- Search recipes
- Browse by category (e.g., Desserts or Gluten-free)
- Browse by column (e.g., Dinner Tonight or The Food Lab)
- Use keywords to narrow your results
Try one of recipes and love it or hate it? 5 smiles, 4 smiles, 3 smiles... (Yes, that's a smile!) Rate it and tell us why it's great or or not so great. View a recipe's average rating.
New Print and Email Functionality
We've added new print and email options so it's even easier to share and store our recipes. New print options include: Print Full Page with no photos, Full Page with photos, Shopping List (ingredients only), Include selected comments (comments can be helpful and inspiring; choose the ones you'd like to print with the recipe). New email options include Entire Text of Recipe, Shopping List (ingredients only), Link to Recipe.
Share Your Own Recipes in Talk
We've made it easy for you to you share your own recipes in Talk. When you start a Talk topic, check "This topic contains a recipe" to enable handy fields for recipe entry.
Thanks to our partners on this project, Mule Design and Six Apart Services. A lot of the heavy-lifting was "under the hood." We've made a huge investment in the database system that powers recipes, making the way for many more improvements and features we'll be rolling out across Serious Eats in the coming months.
