Airplane food. Groan. I don't even need to make a joke here — they write themselves. But having recently flown Irish airline Aer Lingus, I had to reevaluate my thinking that all plane food was bad.
I mean, look closely at the inset photo above: The pat of butter for the hot cross bun (aww, cute) is Kerrygold, fercryinoutloud. And the beef stew dish they served was actually not that bad.
And Erin Zimmer here, who's got family in Ireland and goes to the Emerald Isle frequently, says, "OMG. I eat every bite of the Aer Lingus meals. And you can quote me on that."
Noted and quoted, Erin.
But what about you, SE'rs? Have you ever had a good airline meal? If so, what airline and what was it?
