This reminds me of an experience we had at a McDonald's in Taipei. My husband, after two weeks of chinese cuisine, wanted a hambuger despartely enough to stop at a McDonald's. Not wanting a full meal, I looked at the pictured selections and ordered what looked like a plain single burger. My husband unwrapped his prize to find a beef patty sandwiched between two bun sized molded rice patties. Apparently this was meant for those patrons who wanted an American-Chinese hambuger. And, it was seasoned to taste Chinese. My poor husband gave up and waited another week til we got back for his real hamburger!

Here in Prague we're getting the Beef Wong (a burger with Napa cabbage salad and a teriyaki-like sauce wrapped in stale, black sesame seed-dotted flatbread) and the Chicken Ming (a McChicken with curry sauce and cabbage salad). My husband said the chicken one wasn't bad, but the burger was terrible. Oh yeah, there's also fried shrimp. A highly representative Chinese menu, for sure. ;-)
