What should we do/eat in San Diego?

Taking our first trip to San Diego and am looking for any tips on what we HAVE to see/do/eat while we are in town.

We will be there in late March/early April for about 3 or 4 days, staying in La Jolla area. :)

SD Zoo is obviously on the itinerary but after that I'm pretty much lost. Any guidance is much appreciated
