My favorite gadget that makes my life (at times) infinitely easier is my little ice cream scooper that I use for making cookies.

A few years ago I had ordered some items from one of my favorite catalogs and when I received my order there was this tiny little ice cream scoop (that I had NOT ordered). I thought to myself, "What in the world am I going to do with this? When I eat ice cream, the scoops are far larger than that!!" And then I discovered its use as a cookie dough scoop and my life changed forever... I love this little gadget!!

Nice, hot, sugary malasadas (sp?) from the Portuguese bakery on Commercial Street in P-Town are yummy and easy on the budget (which can be difficult when you are in a touristy area).

My go-to snack after work lately has been a chocolate covered frozen banana, a dollop of peanut butter and a dollop of Fluff in a bowl and I nuke it for 10 seconds to soften the bananas. Pure bliss...

Movie theater food: what's your favorite and are you a smuggler?

I’m definitely a smuggler, unless I splurge for the Lux Level tickets – then I’ll just order from the menu.

I always bring a bottle of water and some Reese’s Pieces, Raisinettes, M&Ms and/or Sno Caps. Every once in a great while when I’m trying to be “good” I’ll buy the apples and caramel but those are way too hard to try and eat in the movies.

@Marls Barkley and @Traveller - I feel the same way! I hate having anything greasy on my lips and I am constantly wiping my mouth. Also, I always scrape my teeth on my spoon or fork so it doesn't touch my lips.
I hate having messy hands too so almost everything gets eaten using utensils.
Weird - I wish I could change that!

While I am not a member of a CSA, I do receive boxes weekly (only if I so choose) of organic produce from a local farm and I often struggle with what to do with all the greens. Also, it seems to me that some of this produce spoils faster than what I’m used to so it’s often a race to use it before I lose it!

Mmmm...Ricotta Cheese...

I too, adore ricotta! One of my favorite meals growing up (and I'm sure I mentioned this in a prior post) was penne pasta tossed with a very creamy ricotta mixture and topped with sugar. Very odd, I know. My mom, my brother and I could not get enough of this dish.

Two Types of Taralli, the Italian Cookie-Cracker

My Nana used to make the savory taralli (not what we called them but hey, we had nicknames for everything!) and they were beyond delicious. We used to make bowls of coffee and drop pieces of the taralli in the coffee and eat it like cereal - crazy good! I miss my Nana and her unbelievable cooking. Thanks for posting this recipe!

About: I love food. I love to talk about it, read about it, cook it and most importantly, EAT IT! I read cookbooks like they're novels. Other than that, I'm a fairly average 30-something. Married, no kids.I love meeting people - I can and will talk your ear off!

Favorite foods: Macaroni and Cheese & Pizza are at the top at a dead even tie. I can never tire of either one of these things. Anything with cheese on it - I am an absolute cheese addict. Sugar - big fan. S'mores, baked sweet potatoes, meatballs and guacamole.

Last bite on earth: Cheese, preferably on a pizza. A ricotta and sausage pizza... mmmmm
