This week we had an expert bread baker in the office, discovered a favorite Midwestern snack, and...well, we know this is all you really care about: THE DOGS ARE BACK.
Some weeks are filled with dumplings and cats, but this week was all about pizza, amazing baked goods, and goats. Because any week that you meet a goat is a week all about goats.
This week, Kenji went to Singapore, Maggie went to a garlic festival, and the office threw an ice cream party.
This week, our culinary director Daniel tried out a new look and some new burger topping recipes. Kenji traveled to Thailand for some of the most memorable meals of his trip thus far, and the rest of us made do with doughnuts.
This week, Kenji met elephants (and delicious food) in Thailand, Daniel worked from sunny Florida, and the rest of the crew took a lobster roll break.
Serious Eats World Headquarters are in Manhattan's Little Italy, but this week our editorial crew headed over the bridge to our new recipe testing facility...also known as Associate Editor Niki's awesome backyard. With a grill and a smoker, we spent a happy day testing fish recipes (and drinking beer) in the sun.
This week, we made castles out of books, tested our emergency preparedness kit, and learned some martial arts moves. (Yes, there are some shots of Toby the dog, too.)
This week, we made frozen yogurt, dipped everything in chocolate, and had a pizza party. Kenji, Hambone, and Yuba have officially gone off the grid for awhile, but we have someone to introduce you to: Toby, Vicky's grumpy-yet-lovable Shih Tzu.
This week we made—and ate—a lot of ice cream and punished our nostrils with a bunch of stinky cheese. Kenji and his pups continued their journey west.
This week's slideshow offers some cat appearances and Kenji's report from a road-trip across the country, your favorite dogs (and extra dogs!) included.
