Zooey Deschanel Guest Judges on 'Top Chef Masters' Tonight
Wow, being gluten intolerant and not eating soy would really cut into my own vegan diet. I'm sure , though, that like most vegans she focuses on the delicious things she can eat and not all the junk that she can not - and that's what the chefs have to do too.
Foodie vs. (Vegan) Foodie: Let's Stop Dropping Anvils Already
You can certainly be a foodie and vegan. While we may have some dietary restrictions compared to the average eater, we are also much more aware of what we eat than the average eater. Being vegan makes you aware of and appreciate your food just that much more.
Menu: Vegan Thanksgiving
That looks really excellent. I usually eat and enjoy tofurkey at Thanksgiving, but perhaps part of that is sticking to old traditions.

About: I'm a nerdy vegan living in San Diego with my wife and our 3 cats.
Favorite foods: Boca burgers, salads, fresh bread, watermellon
Last bite on earth: Might have to be a big tofurkey feast. With a nice burrito. And watermellon.

I'm already thinking about this year's tofurkey! We'll have my parents over this year, so I think we will have all the traditional side dishes to distract them form the lack of a dead bird. I like the traditional side dishes anyway, as most of them lend themselves to being prepared vegan. Those Lemon Broiled Green Beans sound pretty good. I know my wife has thusfar found no real replacement for string beans cooked with cream of mushroom soup and durkee fried onions.
