Wow, that may be one of the least funny things I've ever watched in my life. Seriously, does anyone find this even remotely amusing? I'm kind of bummed this is even posted....usually this site doesn't put lame crap like this up.
Kansas City's Grinders and Its Tater Tot Chili Pizza, on 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives'
I'd make some snarky comment but really, last week I ate a rolled up frozen pizza after reading an entry on this site . . . I've lost any right to make fun of anything.

I'm gonna go with Smitty's in Lockhart, TX, mostly for....man, well for everything.

Terra Burger, an All-Organic Burger Joint in Austin
I tried it this week and it's definitely dry....had to take a sip of my drink after about each bite just to get through it. That said, it's a well-made burger and you can definitely tell they do care about their burgers, and the Boylan's fountain is just a stroke of genius. It's nice to see they're trying in a town with a lot of mediocre burgers.

How to Make a Pizzarito
I'm not entirely sure what this says about me, but I am now on the way to the store so I can try the Totinurrito.
Baconnaise, for the Ultimate Bacon-Flavored Spread
I bet this would make a HELL of a BLT.
Following a Failed Attempt to Eat Four-Pound Burger
I feel bad for her. I've tried stunts like this before and it's just *staggering* how hard it is to eat even a pound of meat -- let alone four. I'll give her some credit, she probably got farther than I would have.....
I Don't Know What to Make of This
Some people never escape the food court at the mall, do they?
Tom Douglas of Serious Pie in Seattle
I'm lucky enough to work a block from Serious Pie -- there's not a single bad pie to be had there. Also try the Dahlia Bakery around the corner (another Douglas place) . . . they have the best egg & chorizo muffins on the planet.
Deep-Fried Cheeseburger
i'll take two and then a bowl of queso to dip them in.
Wendy's Unleashes User-Generated Burger
This is a joke, right? I've shown this to about 20 people in the office and they all agree that that sounds INEDIBLE. That clown got 25K to make that? I give up.
I top my baked potato with______
I hit them with fresh-ground black pepper and a big pat of fresh cream butter. Ok I am hungry now....

I concur with the dry burger comments here. I went to the second location on 183 and experienced a very disappointing dry burger and soggy fries. Details and photos here: http://auslunch.com/restaurants/TerraBurger. It ain't cheap either.
Deep-Fried Cheeseburger
This looks scrumptious!!!
Deep-Fried Cheeseburger
Without the cheese, my local chip shop in Britain has been making deep fried burgers for the last 30 years plus. It's not a Scottish thing, it's a 'chippy' thing to go alongside the heart attack in batter of a Spam fritter!!
Terra Burger, an All-Organic Burger Joint in Austin
Terraburger make a great burger. I have eaten there several times and never had a problem or seen anyone taking food back or complaining. The burger I had (terraburger) was hot and juicy, fries did not look anything like the picture this person took. How someone can put up a picture and use it for others to judge the restaurant is beyond me. When ever I hear someone recommend another burger place instead (usually P.Terrys for terraburger.. and they are not organic at all!) I get suspicious if their employees or friends are just trying to fradulent defame them. I am sure if you went to Terraburger or any other credible restaurant and the food was not up to your expectations they would give you a replacement or refund so you have nothing to loose! Trust me their food is great and I will be back again and again!

I should have added that Chowhound thread is a year old, before Mighty Fine, Mooyah, and Five Guys came along. I also advise anyone in Austin to try the burger that Nubian Queen Lola makes (http://www.nubianqueenlolas.com/lolasmenu.htm). Go early before she runs out of fries and expect to be there an hour 1/2 to 2 hours. She's the only employee and cooks everything from scratch.
Maudie's Tex-Mex and Fran's/Dan's aren't shabby either.
Terra Burger, an All-Organic Burger Joint in Austin
I think people have such different expectations about burgers (& Tex-mex). Some Austinites rave about P. Terry's (http://www.pterrys.com/), especially their fries. Which I found to be limp and flavorless. I still think the better burgers are from dive bars or country-type restaurants.

Terra Burger, an All-Organic Burger Joint in Austin
I've eaten at Terra Burger prob 3-4 times and I've never had one of their burgers that looked like that (dry). I will say that they have tended to be on the "weller" side than the "rarer" side, but mine have been juicy and good. You shoulda taken that one back!
I agree with the poster about the sweet potato fries being on the limp side, too--I get their regular fries and I think they're awesome, but in picking at my friends sweet potato fries last time I was there, they didn't have any snap to them. I'm not a real fan of sweet potato fries, though, so I can honestly say I've never had any that I really liked very much.

I stopped in TerraBurger today to review it for my blog, Tasty Touring.
Location: Not ideal. I avoid driving up the drag whenever possible as it's stop n go when school is in session and parking is a pain. However, they do have a dedicated lot in back.
Atmosphere: Bright, nice, lots of tables. The wait was not long to order, our food came up quickly, and the staff was extremely friendly.
Prices: The owner comped our meal but the prices are steep as has been written before -- my meal would have been around $10 for burger, fries, and a 9 oz. shake.
Burger: This burger was well-done and DRY -- no red in the meat at all. I was not given a choice about how I would like it cooked (but is that the law in TX?). The bread was too flaky and I didn't enjoy it. However the bacon and cheddar cheese were delicious.
Fries: We ordered sweet potato fries and regular fries -- all fresh cut and nicely salted with kosher salt. I really enjoyed the regular fries but the sweet potato version was limp -- a common issue. The ketchup was ok -- I always prefer Heintz to all-natural tomato ketchup.
Drinks: Applause for the Blue Sky All Organic soda fountain. Natanya said her soda was very tasty. I really enjoyed my small mint chip milk shake made with organic ice cream. At $2, it was pricey for what it was but I appreciate the portion and cost control.
Packaging and Operations: No cost was spared here and I appreciated the water saving dual flush toilets. They use corn-based compostable material to serve the food and drink but don't have a trash for all of that material so much of it gets mixed in with the regular landfill variety trash.
Overall: I don't think I would go back here unless I was with a friend who wanted to give it a shot. I'd like to try Five Guys and P Terry's as I have heard both are good.
For now, when I'm looking for my burger and fry fix, I'm headed to Roaring Fork or Woodland.

Hi all,
I'd like to thank James for taking the time to review TerraBurger. We are always eager to hear feedback about how we're doing, and what areas we can improve.
So, I hear what you're saying in regards to the texture of the burgers, and we will get on the problem immediately. If anyone has any specific suggestions, please contact us at info@terraburgeraustin.com. I'd like to invite you back in a couple of weeks, so you can gauge our improvement for yourself.
I'm glad to hear we're doing well in the other departments! Hope to see you back at TerraBurger :-)

Just for fun and in the back of my head to make you guys squirm..I had a chicken fried steak slice of pizza, Mardi Gras nite with gravy ...damn good..I will admit it was after plenty of coctails..

I think it was worth posting, but the only remotely clever moment was "...even interracial families..."; the rest of it was just a stoner describing what he was looking at.

Kansas City's Grinders and Its Tater Tot Chili Pizza, on 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives'
Elextendo: You've got me (and the rest of the haters) here. I promise, next time I'm in town visiting the family, I'll stop by Grinders for the TTCP. I will turn off my purist mind and open my pizza-fusionist mind to something creative. (And, to Grinders' credit, Guy Fieri's picks on DD&D are usually right on.) Plus -- I can grab some crab rangoon, if they're still on the menu.
Kansas City's Grinders and Its Tater Tot Chili Pizza, on 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives'
Well people thanks for the pure hatred of Tater tot and chili pizza without ever trying it. It actually tastes better than it sounds..I remember when I first tried peanut butter and apples..the thought was YUK..but in the end pretty good. Is this a purest thing? Have we damaged the slice? I always thought putting avacado on a slice was funky and wrong (and still do).. Please if your in the hood stop in and have a try it has turned into a decent seller so the numbers cant be wrong..

@ultradave: When you put it that way, *I* took the photos and made the "how-to" for the rolled-up frozen pizza. So I probably have no room dissing the tater-chili pizza at Grinders.
How to Make a Pizzarito
That has got to be the worst cheap pizza ever. Tonys rules.
How to Make a Pizzarito
Awww yeah, cook it half the time (get the dough soft), load it up, roll it up, stick a tooth pick or two into it, throw it back in the oven and finish cooking... Let it cool for a mo or two then throw down, fantastic!!! I am starving now!!!
