your priciest meal?

Florence ,Italy...we went one Autumn with the intention to eat white truffles...our hotel directed us to a quite scruffy backstreet place with communal trestle tables and no coffee machine !!..we were 4 people and had 4 plates of linguine,butter and truffle shaved over the top,4 fried eggs..ditto and 4 plates of melted fontina also with shavings of truffle..albeit copious amounts....water,wine...= 600 e....we all nearly fainted en masse...

I gave away Jamie's America..didnt see why he wanted to alter already successful recipes. Have never used Moro.Mostly use Nigella,Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, Nigel Slater and Rick Stein.

Yotam Ottolenghi's" Plenty" Cookbook, white truffle butter, Nordicware Pinetree Bundt mold, Thornton's Viennese truffle chocolates, Cheese press,Knife sharpener..but the reality is I have broken 2 crowns in my mouth and I fear that the most I will get for Christmas " is my two front teeth" like in the song......
