First Look: Bowery Diner

food looks great and prices are reasonable, but I guess it will be impossible to get a table.

Café China: More Exciting Sichuan Comes to New York

looks like they have fixed the rendering problem with the tea-smoked duck yet, too bad. it was super smokey when we had it, guess they toned it down a bit.

their chili oil is no joke.

great addition to the neighborhood.

Frank spells his "y" now. ;)

I used to go to summer camp up there. Haven't been in years. Definitely sounds worth taking a trip back up there.

Add Holy Cow Ice Cream to the list, although it isn't artisanal by any sense of the word.

Date Night: Lina Frey

the apps were ok, the mains were terrible.

the grilled shrimp were served with an Asian slaw that reminded me of really bad Chinese take-out lo mein. it was also topped with chips and salsa. quite odd for a French bistro.

our crepe was served practically raw. bleh.

Food Gallery 32: A Food Court Destination in Koreatown

they should have keep the cashier stand at the front. it was so much easier to order from multiple places at the same time. it wasn't that hard to grab a paper menu and walk around a bit to check out the stalls then go back to the cashier.

O-de-ppang! is my favorite so far. Although Bian Dang is a great guilty pleasure and has large portion sizes.
