My Wife and I are coming back to the city this week, and I can't wait to get up to Patsy's.
Living in Detroit, which is the World Headquarters of every Pizza chain in the World, ie... Dominos, Little Ceasars, Papa Johns, Peppino's, Buddy's, Jet's, Pro, etc...etc..etc..., You tend to forget what real Pizza taste's like, and because they OWN everything that the auto companies don't, ( Every single sports team except the Lion's (FORD) in the State.) , It is hard to find a real Pizza that's not made on the assembly line.
The only Real pizza place with a coal oven is Tomatoes Apizza in Farmington Hills, and even though it is incredible, it is ONE in a sea of Mediocrity.
Imagine if you were forced to eat Ray's pizza everyday.
I mean it's good but after a while, you know.

Come On!!! This is not a good slice of pizza or business for that matter. I've been reading your reviews for a while now and I am totally totally shocked by your reaction to this place. I ate there the other night and I was floored by the popularity of some of the worst pizza I've eaten since I was born. Thick, chewy, bready, cheesy, and just blechy food. Part of it was really burnt and part was kind of underdone. The ovens are not heating evenly and they are poorly managed. They got 6 shelves and a line out the door. Are you kidding me?
Keep in mind I grew up in Larchmont, where my parents moved from the Bronx, "Because the pizza was excellent." See Sal's on Mamaroneck Ave., or Villa Maria on Chatsworth, circa 1988 before Anthony, the son, took over and changed some things.
Please stop the madness!!
