Ideas for introducing a picky eater to tomatoes?

I like a bagel with cream cheese with thinly sliced tomato layered and spike seasoning sprinkled on top.

Why don't you like tomatoes? Texture, flavor or acidity?

Ed Levine's Serious Diet, Week 25: Maybe 100-Calorie Snack Packs Aren't the Answer

Forgot to mention I lost 30 lbs through pilates as my only exercise and a little diet modification. Stopped drinking soda and eating as much fast food. As a side benefit my neck tightness and pain went away and my back pain is reduced greatly.

Ed Levine's Serious Diet, Week 25: Maybe 100-Calorie Snack Packs Aren't the Answer

I've always thought those little packs were a rip, but would it be shocking if I were to say you're only supposed to eat ONE pack, that's why they are in SINGLE packs not a huge bag. Who eats NINE small bags of potato chips? Anyone who eats nine bags of potato chips on a regular basis is going to be fat. 9 x approx 150 calories = 1,350 calories + an insane amount of sodium.
Here's a formula to lose weight. Large breakfast, medium lunch, small dinner (cereal, crackers and cheese, or a smaller portion than you would normally have of what you normally have). repeat. Eat slower, listen to your body and eat until you are satisfied, not full. Have leftovers for breakfast or lunch. That and some exercise and you will lose weight. I reccomend pilates because you can do it anywhere you have a little bit of floor space with nothing else.

Corn on the cob

steam them for a few minutes, boil them for a few minutes, grill them in husks for a few minutes. If you have good fresh corn you only need to cook for a few minutes (like 10) to retain the crunch, you could eat them raw if you wanted.

Uses for this bamboo box?

The thing about that box is if you care enough about tea to have a $16 box for it then you probably use loose tea. It is a cool box, I kind of have a box fetish and want one for little pieces of junk I feel I need to keep around and not toss.

Ow!

Take a lesson from the Mythbusters: cooler + ice + salt = cold drinks fast!

I slashed my hand really badly once reaching into my freezer looking for something, not remembering a beer bottle I had left in there which had subsequently exploded... Be careful kids!!!!!

Erin, haha I noticed the tag! Poor guy.

I was at a family bbq once and someone brought a case of beer and he wanted it cold fast. He put it in the freezer and put me in charge of making sure they came out of the freezer before they exploded! Dangerous job, but I was up for the challenge.

If you'll notice, somebody was subtly tagged, and he remains the alleged culprit.

This has happened to me (with diet coke cans) more times than I'd like to admit. The worst is when it exploded inside the ice maker, and all of our ice for the next week tasted like diluted, flat diet coke. Even a diet coke addict like myself has to say that's pretty gross.

Ok, I'm going to have to one-up everybody here.

About 15 years ago, my buddy Z was about to have a birthday. Our friend D wanted to do something special, so he decided to spring for a bottle of Dom Pérignon. Anyway, we wanted to hide it from Z until D got home from work, so amazingly I suggested the freezer since Z would have no reason to get in there AND it would keep the Dom cold.

The bottle exploded.

We made sure that there was no glass in the remaining "Dom slush" and proceeded to eat it out of cups with a spoon.

My god, something seriously similar happened to me.

When I was a wee child in grade school, my father accidentally left two cans of Coke in the freezer (and he's still not sure why...). They stayed in there for a couple of days and exploded in the middle of the night.

We were convinced someone had just broken into our house. :0
