Time for a Drink: the Michelada

IlTavoloBambini: I am glad you don't like anything in your beer but there are many out there who do. Maybe you also don't put up with people who like ketchup on their hot dogs or mustard on their hamburgers. Really. Do you also not marinade your meats at times because the taste is overwhelming? The bloody beer is a perfectly valid drink. Is a corona too valuable to waste? I think not.

Cold Pizza - Yes or No?

Cold, it's all-right. The seasonings REALLY SUFFER if it's cold, it's usually kind of bland. I just had some microwaved and the crust suffers. The best is reheated in the oven or toaster oven. If done right the crust will crisp up just a wee bit and it don't be as soggy as nuked. One way to not have AS soggy crust nuked is to tightly roll a paper towel and stick it under the slice so the pizza makes less contact with the plate = more air circulation.

The Food Lab: In Search of the Best Oven-Fried Buffalo Wings

I've found using a wire rack on a baking sheet in a convection oven crisps up the skin real nice. The wings pretty much fry in their own fat.

First Drink for a 21-Year-Old?

White Zinfandel?

Seriously though a snakebite with half Guinness layered with cider is good, a little sweet, not too sweet, and sounds cool. You need to start training your palate away from too sweet drinks, and the only way to do that is gradually. A greyhound is good too (vodka/grapefruit juice).

Reduced oxygen environment helps food resist spoilage. This was a vaccuum packed item with no air in the package. Isn't that a redundant statement.

Label says use steak by Jan 1st.. Should I eat it now?

Ok, thanks guys. I was thinking of putting a string through it and hanging it from a tree outside and eating it once it got rotten enough to fall on the ground, but I'll just smell, touch, and grill it asap.

Drying Out a Cellphone in Rice: It Does Work!

yes it does, to a certain extent. If the phone shorts out before you take the battery out you are screwed. I had a blackjack that was dipped in the hot tub, and I took the battery out right away and put it in rice for overnight and in the morning, turned it on and the screen started steaming up, turned it off and put it in rice again, repeated that over the next few days, and it is still working today. I will say I was lucky with that. My razr also got wet and rice didnt help it at all.

Stoned Wheat Thins...Awesome, man!
http://www.amazon.com/Stoned-Wheat-Thins-10-6-Ounce-Boxes/dp/B000F9XB7K

# Made with cracked wheat for an extra hearty flavor
Right on, but I'll eat anything when I'm totally blazed!

# No cholesterol or saturated fats
Better snacking material if I'm going to eat a whole box!

# Crispy wheat taste complements your favorite dips and cheeses
Cheese in a can, or my canna-butter hummus? Yeah man, it's all good.

# Made in Canada
Goes great with B.C. bud, bro! Keep it chill.

Life Lessons I Learned From Top Chef Masters

It's all about the charity. These people have secure livelihoods, they already have what the regular season contestants want so they can afford to screw around. Same as on charity game shows.

Coffee Top Caddy: Yea or Nay?

It may be over engineered, but it doesn't seem to use any more resources than the current system, same cups, same molded lids (different design), same creamers and sugars.
