Starbucks' Vivanno Vs. Jamba Juice Smoothies

In Los Angeles, some stores are also selling "Sorbettos", which are smoothies made with Pinkberry yogurt or ice. I did try the mango sorbetto (with yogurt), and it was pretty yummy, creamy, tart, and fruity. But it did feel a bit weird not ordering a coffee or frapp.

I'm trying to keep lemon juice in ice cube trays and minced shallots, garlic, and onions in the freezer for quick prep work. Also chicken broth in 1/2 cup servings in baggies.

Cook the Book: 'Roast Chicken and Other Stories'

I've never tried to cook a whole chicken, but I'd love to try this book's recipe for my first time! Then I could tell a story. ; )

Starbucks' Vivanno Vs. Jamba Juice Smoothies

I actually loved the Banana Chocolate Vivanno from Starbucks. I tried the Jamba Juice equivalent and wasn't impressed. However, I do like Jamba's Chocolate Ice Cream smoothie.

The choc-banana with espresso is delicious, but maybe that's because i went in expecting a protein shake, not a milkshake. As a protein shake, it is head and shoulders above Slim Fast shakes and the like.

Starbucks' Vivanno Vs. Jamba Juice Smoothies

I had the Orange Mango Vivanno today with soy and 2 shots of espresso. It tasted, not like a milkshake, nor a smoothie.

I will probably do it again sometime, but I'm not salivating.

Lets see, this question really has a few different answers. I would like to interview Alton Brown just because I love his show and want to see what he is like in real life. One of the most interesting people to interviews would be Paula Dean since she is such a character. Finally, if I had to pick someone purely on good looks (and probably good food too) I'd have to choose Giada De'Laurentes.
